2008 CHRIS-CRAFT CORSAIR 28 — SOLD

Sold in 2026. A classic American dayboat with twin Volvo Penta V8s, a deep-blue hull, natural teak and cream leather — listed at AU $69,990 and sold from Mosman.

The Corsair 28 is Chris-Craft's take on the Riviera runabout: quality construction, timeless styling and real presence on the water. Registered for ten people, she was a harbour day boat for cruising, swimming and entertaining, with a two-berth cabin forward for the occasional overnight.

What set this one apart

The vendor had kept the receipts. About $76,900 of documented work since 2022, including an extensive mechanical refit in October 2024 (engines removed and refitted, both transom shields replaced, circulation pumps, belts, full engine and stern-drive service), a major Volvo stern-drive overhaul in February 2025, and annual engine and drive servicing, antifoul and a new throttle system in March 2026. The interior had been re-upholstered in tan and cream. We described the minor nicks and scratches to the hull paint honestly, and the boat still sold quickly.

On the water

Twin Volvo Penta 5.7 L 320hp V8s on stern drives gave a 25-knot cruise and about 40 knots flat out, with a windlass controlled from the helm, chartplotter, transom shower, drinks fridge and a storm cover plus bimini. Engine hours were 1,233 and 1,424 at listing.
