Developed from the original Hardy 42 hull, the Hardy 40DS offers superb open plan live-aboard space with a single-level wheelhouse, saloon and cockpit area that stretch to more than half of her total length.

An owner’s double cabin in the foreship, with its own access to the spacious heads including shower cubicle and a further twin-berthed guest cabin to port, with separate access to the heads on the starboard side, provide expansive accommodation. A well-equipped galley can be concealed when not in use.

Outside, a large, full beam bathing platform, integrated into the hull, may be accessed from the vessel’s sizeable cockpit through a gateway in the transom.

With economical cruising at around 12 knots and a top speed of 18 knots, seakeeping is exceptional and her engine is perfect for inland waterways or offshore with the optional twin engines.
