The Duchy 35 will be shown in Europe for the first time at boot Düsseldorf, 18 to 26 January 2025, on Cockwells’ stand A30, with Duchy 25 and Duchy 45 previews.
Cockwells is taking the Duchy 35 to boot Düsseldorf this month for what the yard is calling the model’s European debut. The show runs from 18 to 26 January 2025 and the boat will sit in Hall 1, stand A30, with the Cockwells team on the stand. With more than 70 Duchy launches now sold across the range, it is a late arrival on the German show floor but a logical one: the 35 is the boat most people picture when they hear the Duchy name.

The boat on the stand
The show boat is the single master cabin version: 11.5 metres overall, galley down below, a generous cockpit and a saloon with a sunroof, a drinks fridge and room for a group to sit out of the weather. Cockwells rates the 35 for up to ten guests on a day out, or as a weekend boat for two. A twin cabin layout is available for owners who want a second sleeping cabin rather than the larger single one.
If you are walking the show, the galley-below arrangement is the thing to form a view on in person. It keeps the saloon clear for seating and conversation, at the cost of a few steps down whenever someone is cooking. Some owners love that separation; others prefer everything on one level. You will know which camp you are in within five minutes aboard.
What else the Cockwells team will be talking about
Only the 35 will be physically on the stand, but the team will have details of three other boats currently in build.
Duchy 25
The yard’s description of the Duchy 25 is a smaller, livelier sister to the bigger launches. It runs an outboard, weighs about 2.5 tonnes and is designed to travel on a road trailer, which opens up cruising grounds you would otherwise have to reach by water or on a truck.
Duchy 45
At the other end, the Duchy 45 is the roomiest Duchy yet: a wide saloon, full standing headroom, and a master cabin with a super king-size bed and its own en-suite heads, all wrapped in the same lines and finish as the rest of the range.
Hardy 45 European
From the Hardy side of the yard, the new Hardy 45 European is designed to cruise inland waterways as comfortably as it runs offshore, with a top end of 28 knots. It follows the Hardy 50DS, a Category A boat that has just been shortlisted in the passagemakers category of Motor Boat & Yachting’s 2025 Motor Boat Awards.
Support after the handover
The part of Cockwells’ pitch I would draw attention to is not the boat but what follows it. Every owner gets a detailed manual and a handover day with the after-sales team, covering the boat’s systems and its handling both inside the marina and out in open water. Beyond that, owners can take up remote monitoring, surveys and seasonal care packages, and they are invited to the yard’s receptions at boat shows and to its annual Owners’ Rally. Cockwells keeps multilingual after-sales staff and a network of international partners so that support does not stop at the British coast.
When you commission a boat from Cockwells, we work with you at every step of the way to create a vessel of exceptional quality and superior performance.
Alice Préat, Customer Service Manager, Cockwells
That matters when the boat is on the other side of the world. It is why DMB handles the commissioning of each Duchy here in Sydney, and why we offer vessel management for owners who want the boat looked after between outings.
For buyers in Australia and New Zealand
You do not need to fly to Düsseldorf. Davis Marine Brokerage is the exclusive Australian and New Zealand dealer for Duchy Motor Launches, and the Duchy 35, Duchy 25 and Duchy 45 can each be ordered through us for delivery to Sydney; we manage the import, the delivery and the commissioning. The first Duchy 35 for Australia was sold in December 2022 and arrived in Sydney in May 2023, and there is a full walkthrough of that boat with Dan’s Boat Life if you want to study the layout before the show. Demonstrations on Sydney Harbour can be arranged from Fergusons Marina at The Spit, Mosman. If you happen to be in Germany that week, the stand is in Hall 1; otherwise call 0408 864 111 or send an enquiry.
Cockwells’ own show announcement is on the builder’s website.
Frequently asked questions
When and where can I see the Duchy 35 at boot Düsseldorf?
From 18 to 26 January 2025 in Hall 1 on Cockwells’ stand, A30. The boat on display is the single master cabin version with the galley below. Cockwells suggests booking an appointment to view the boat and meet the team. Australian and New Zealand buyers can instead arrange a demonstration in Sydney through Davis Marine Brokerage.
How many people can a Duchy 35 carry?
Cockwells rates the 35 for up to ten guests on a day out, and as a weekend boat for two in the single master cabin layout shown at Düsseldorf. A twin cabin version is also offered for owners who need a second sleeping cabin; the layout is part of the boat’s specification.
Can the Duchy 25 be towed on a trailer?
Yes. The Duchy 25, which Cockwells will be discussing at Düsseldorf while the first boats are in build, is outboard-powered, weighs around 2.5 tonnes and is designed to travel on a road trailer, so it can be moved between cruising grounds behind a suitable tow vehicle rather than by water.
What after-sales support comes with a new Duchy?
A detailed owner’s manual and a handover day with the Cockwells after-sales team, covering the systems and handling in the marina and at sea. Owners can add remote monitoring, surveys and seasonal care packages, and are invited to boat show receptions and the annual Owners’ Rally. In Australia, Davis Marine Brokerage commissions the boat in Sydney and offers vessel management.
