Cockwells Delivers Four Tenders for Spain’s Largest Megayacht

“The Renaissance Quartet

The highly regarded British boatbuilder, Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding, has designed and constructed four boats to the Spanish shipyard, Freire. These include a 13m Limousine Tender, a 13m Open Tender, a 10m Beach Lander Tender, and an Air-Sport 7.0. All of these boats are securely stored on board the Renaissance, a 112m megayacht with seven decks which holds the distinction of being the biggest private superyacht ever constructed in Spain.

The 13m Limousine Tender features stylish design elements inspired by private jets. It offers three reclining seats at the back, along with a bench seat and a dinette area. The aft deck provides a choice of seven seats, including two recliners facing the back. Onboard amenities include full standing headroom, air-conditioning, and a luggage room at the front. The boat’s semi-displacement hull, twin Yanmar 8LV engines, and Seakeeper stabiliser ensure a comfortable and speedy ride.

The 13m Open Tender provides a luxurious experience similar to the limousine but without an enclosed cabin. Guests are protected from the sun with an adjustable hardtop, and an additional windscreen in the main cockpit offers wind protection. This tender shares the same hull, stabiliser, and propulsion system as the Limousine Tender. It also includes a luggage room at the front and two recliners facing the back.

The 10m Beach Lander Tender boasts a unique feature—a two-part electronically-folding bow ramp. With waterjet propulsion, the boat can easily land on beaches. It has a central helm position for excellent visibility, an aft deck for sunbathing and equipment transfer, a wakeboarding pole, a deck shower, and a folding hardtop.

Completing the set is Cockwells’ Air-Sport 7.0, a semi-production vessel that combines the functionality of a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) with the luxury of an open limousine. It features inflatable tubes for fendering and offers a forward spray hood ,boarding points from port, a raising/lowering handrail for safety, and quick-change tubes for easy maintenance. Powered by a 250hp Yanmar diesel engine with a stern drive, this sports tender reaches a top speed of 36 knots and serves as a functional crew launch.

Dave Cockwell, the Founder & Managing Director of Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding, expresses pride in being commissioned to custom-build this quartet of tenders for one of the world’s largest superyachts. The success of the project has led to another commission for a quartet of tenders from a new client, solidifying Cockwells’ reputation as a respected and innovative builder of bespoke crafts that meet the highest standards and precise specifications in the industry.

A few of the more impressive accomplishments they have had was the delivery of 2 of the fastest tenders for a new Lürssen Megayacht, and the starring of Grace, alongside Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx in a new Netflix Original. It’s a 9.5m Owner’s Tender for the Perini Navi 73m Vitruvius superyacht, GRACE E.

This is just a few of the many other impressive sales and accomplishments of Cockwells. Here’s an article to find out more about their record sales. You may also like to read the review on the Titian Tender – one of Cockwells’ fantastic Superyacht Tenders.
